The Law of “SENT ONE”

THE JEWISH “SENT ONE”: שָׁלִיחַ (SHALIACH)
Shaliach (sha‑LEE‑akh) — the Jewish legal term for an authorized agent who carries the full legal authority of the one who sends him.

Core Legal Principle
“A man’s shaliach is as the man himself.”
(Mishnah: Berakhot 5:5; Kiddushin 2:1)

Meaning:

the shaliach carries the sender’s authority

the shaliach’s words are legally the sender’s words

the shaliach’s actions are legally the sender’s actions

rejecting the shaliach is rejecting the sender

obeying the shaliach is obeying the sender

This is the legal foundation for Paul’s authority.

HOW SHALIACH PROVES PAUL’S AUTHORIZATION
1. YHVH appoints Paul as His chosen agent
Acts 9:15 — Paul is “My chosen vessel” to bear the Name before the nations.
This is a divine appointment.

2. Messiah personally commissions Paul
Acts 26:16 — “I am sending you.”
The Greek apostellō functions exactly like the Jewish legal category shaliach.

3. The Holy Spirit confirms the appointment
Acts 13:2 — “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul…”
This is the heavenly court ratifying the commission.

4. Paul identifies himself in shaliach terms
Romans 1:1 — “Paul, a sent one of Jesus Messiah…”
This is not a title.
It is a jurisdictional office.

5. Paul states that his writings are Messiah’s commandments
1 Corinthians 14:37 — “The things I write are the commandments of the Lord.”
This is pure shaliach function:
A shaliach transmits the sender’s words, not his own.

6. The Jerusalem apostles recognize Paul’s jurisdiction
Galatians 2:7–9:
Peter → sent to the Jews
Paul → sent to the Gentiles

Two jurisdictions.
One Messiah.
One legal system of representation.

7. Paul uses the “Last Adam” title to explain his authority
1 Corinthians 15:45 — “The Last Adam…”
The Last Adam holds legal headship over the nations.
Paul is His authorized agent to those nations.

Paul is the authorized shaliach of the Jewish Messiah, appointed by YHVH, commissioned by Yeshua, confirmed by the Holy Spirit, and recognized by the Jerusalem apostles as the sole transmitter of Messiah’s commandments for the Gentiles.
